Beekeeper for a Day In small groups (maximum 10 people), I explain the different forms of beekeeping and, together with the participants, we experience extensive organic beekeeping firsthand in an apiary located in south-central Lanzarote. We then open a hive—wearing beekeeper suits and in complete safety—to closely observe the life and work of bees. It's a unique opportunity to connect with nature and understand the value of these essential beings. One of the most special moments is the honey tasting: We try different varieties of honey from our own bees, as well as honey from organic beekeepers from almost all the Canary Islands. A delicious experience to discover the authentic flavor of each island's nature. Our honey, known as Lanzarote Honey, reflects the diversity and purity of the volcanic landscape. With this project, I not only want to share knowledge about the Canary Black Bee and its importance to the island ecosystem, but also contribute to ensuring the continuity of the only certified organic beekeeping operation in Lanzarote, both today and in the future.
